Z MyDevil.net
EKG is a console Gadu-Gadu client, which allows (using screen utility) to keep a consistent connection to Gadu-Gadu network.
The first step is to launch ekg:
ekg
Then, provide our gg number
/set uin tutaj_numer_gg
Set the password, which is being kept encrypted (there is no possibility to recover it, if somebody gains access to ekg config files)
/set password tutaj_hasło
Connect to the server:
/connect
Fetch the contact list:
/list --get
'Be right back' status:
/away
'Invisible' status:
/invisible
'Available' status:
/back
To set a description, provide it after the status command, for instance:
/away Jestem teraz w pracy
Save your settings
/save
Add a contact
/add gg_number_here username_here
Remove a contact
/del username_here
Start a chat
/query username_here
We can switch windows using alt+numver or esc+number.
These are just basic commands. More of them can be found in the official handbook, available at http://ekg.chmurka.net/docs.php, and in the help file, which is available after you press the F1 button, or type
/help
Our EKG can be used with numbers higher than 17 mld, partially with gg10 protocol, and we can run python scripts on it.
We can also use the newest developement compilations (current), if we type:
ekg-current
or:
ekg-release_date
We have also installed ekg2, which can be also used with jabber, or irc.
